Insulated Hatches
In order to be able to ventilate the storage-building, inlet and outlet hatches are needed. Different sizes are available. And manufactured in a maintenance-free design and construction. The hatches are built in sidewalls and/or in the roof.

In the case of very extreme cold climates the hatches can be equipped with a heating system. To avoid the hatch from freezing and sticking together with its frame.

Actuator-systems for mechanical and automatic opening/closing of the insulated hatches. delivery in loose parts, like electromotor, racks, supports, axles etc. mounting & installation on site, is always tailor-made.

Airduct systems
  • Semi circular (halfround) airducts.
  • Perforated and corrugated steel alternatives of wooden design are available.
  • For air-distribution trough the bulk-stored potatoes.
  • Distance between the airducts (2-4 m) correlated to the height of the stored product and the required ventilationair-volume.

Micro Processor Control systems
It is essential to control product-temperature en humidity during the storage of agricultural products. Ventilation, hatches, cooling and humidifying will work together automatically, in order to achieve optimal storage conditions.

A variety of control systems is available. From simple, stand-alone units to very extended measurement and control systems. With computer-aided data systems and remote control. Communication with cell phones is also available on demand.
Sensors
Sensors are needed for monitoring the different parameters that play an important role during the storage. Sensors are connected to the control system.
There is a multiple choice of temperature probes available. Dgr °C.

Humidifiers
During storage, the agricultural products will lose humidity and weight. It is a matter of course that the ventilation system and the spec’s of the cooling machines are important to preserve the quality of these products. And not to lose too much of the water-content of the products. But also humidifiers will help to maintain an optimal level of humidity.

Ventilation chambers
A wooden or concrete or steel construction, mostly for bulk-storage. To be built as an air-distribution system. Fans are built in the ventilation chamber (or pressure room). Through the inlet hatches ventilation air will be ventilated into the air-ducts; semi circular or under-floor channels.

In special situations the pressure room (special design) is used to ventilate directly into storage boxes.

The delivery consists of engineering and drawings. Sometimes the mounting materials are included. And if needed, the complete ventilation system , including all the construction materials, can be delivered.

PDU (Potato Decondensation unit)
In a high temperature & humidity environment, a lot of condensation will occur when unloading (seed)potatoes from the cold-storage. To prevent these potatoes (in boxes or bags) from getting very wet of this condensation, the potatoes will be placed in a in-between-storage-section. With help of special fans, airmix hatches and an a control-unit, a warming-up process will be executed. For appr. 12-24 hours. In such a way that the potatoes can be delivered to the clients in a good condition. Or, the potatoes can be treated by grading and/or sorting machines without infecting each other and polluting the machines.
Technical Assistance
Our engineers will assist in preparing the storage building. They advice about where to place the insulated hatches, cooling machines etc.

Technical assistance will be given during the installation and mounting on site. The local mechanics are being instructed how to handle the materials and how to do the installation.

Also the starting-up of the complete installation will be supervised by our specialists.
Turn-Key Cooling Machines (TKC)
One can choose for the straight-forward cooling machines or cooling machines equipped with air-mix-hatch for extra external ventilation.

Properties of cooling machines type TKC:

The TKC (Turn-Key Cooler) will be a prefabricated unit with the following characteristics:

  • The machines can be provided with an integrated air inlet hatch.
  • The machines are built together under optimal (welding-) conditions.
  • The machines will be tested thoroughly before shipment.
    No pipes with refrigerant in the storage-sections.
  • Very small energetic losses due to short pipe-length’s.
  • Very quick installation of the cooling machines on site, no fitting-up labour.
  • State of the art evaporator and condenser (Made in Europe)
  • Evaporator is specially developed for agricultural products (Low Δt, low dehydration)
  • Units with capacities of 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 kW cooling capacity* (Te-1, Tc+40)
  • Units > 30kW with 2 independent cooling circuits.
  • Optimal air distribution of the cold air by means of air-pipes mounted on top.
  • Totally covered with galvanised steel plates
