The PDK-series
The PDK-series is essentially the same as the UK-series.
The rotary barrel washers of the PDK-type are in essence the same
as the UK-type. The soil that is washed is discharged via the
slurry chain at the bottom of the machine. The slurry chain is
switched on when the washing process is temporarily interrupted for
e.g. a lunch break, or at the end of the day.
The difference is that a destoner is placed in front of the washing machine, which makes that large pieces of dirt are removed before washing. This makes this setup very well suited for potato cleaning.
